Ok, let's see now if i will be as freguent a writer here as i am planning to. i will try my best. yes i will.

The start has been surprisingly smooth... being a true finlander the first thing i bought after a bike was a CELLPHONE!!! yes, i have a local tucsonial number to which anyone can call me, the only catch being that i pay per minutes, prepaid. so whatever you guys will call me, i pay, and the minutes lessen. that is good for you though, because you may save some long distance change!! after all this yahoo, here's the number; 520 331 8677.  i am happy to receive sms too, and i still turn on my finlander phone too, so feel free to use that too. email is best though.

so, onward to interesting stuff. tucson is wayyy different from anything i ever seen, that is a given, but yet it feels very comfy already and i have made some connections with other exchange students. that is awesome. people at the school, and everywhere are REALLY friendly and helpful, and they will go outta their way to assist you with whatever. i learnt that the very first night when i got in at 2am and had no credit card (hotels outta the question) and a kind taxi driver, Rick, was seeing to it that i found an Inn where i could rest my tired bones.

thgere's so much to tell, but i have to go so i'll finish off by telling you that i have registered for classes in ceramics, live model drawing, painting, and navajo language, also history and philosophy of the dine people. that is the dine people i got so interedted in when i was 14 or so. this is a dream come true.\

i was at the art museum on campus today and saw my first O'Keeffe painting live, and i reacted in the most bizarre way; i started crying right there and then, outta happiness i guess. i had just seen Rothko' blue and green though so that might hacve had somthing to do with my emotionalness, hahah.

so to all you friends who suuffered through art history in finland with me, it is true; seeing a real rothko really can get you in a very emotional state. ODD.

much love to all!!!
